Upon arrival in Palembang, our team will greet you and escort you to begin your city exploration. Your first stop is the Balaputradewa Museum, home to various historical and cultural artifacts of Palembang. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring regional specialties. The journey continues to the Sriwijaya Kingdom Park, a historical site that reflects the grandeur of the ancient Sriwijaya Empire. Next, admire the impressive Giant Al-Qur’an Museum, which houses the world’s largest carved wooden Qur’an. In the afternoon, visit Ampera Bridge, Palembang’s most iconic landmark spanning over the Musi River, followed by a stop at Benteng Kuto Besak, a significant historical fortress. After breakfast at the hotel, begin the day with a visit to Kampung Kapitan, a historical neighbourhood showcasing the cultural blend of Chinese and Palembang heritage. The tour continues to Jakabaring Sport City, the largest sports complex in Sumatra. Next, stop by the Cheng Hoo Mosque, a unique mosque featuring traditional Chinese architectural elements. After lunch, proceed to the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Museum, which preserves artifacts from the Palembang Sultanate era. In the late afternoon, enjoy the Musi River Tour to Kemaro Island, a charming island famous for its romantic legend and beautiful pagoda. Before heading back to the hotel, visit the Songket Craft Center to observe the weaving process and shop for souvenirs such as pempek and traditional textiles. End the day with dinner at a local restaurant and return to the hotel.
